After spending the early hours of his morning preparing the Weyrling Barracks Common Room to support the first lesson of Weyrlinghood, I'zon had to step back and survey his handy work. The Weyrling Barracks Common Room didn't look much different; he had only moved the chairs out, replacing them with smaller and larger cushions (for the Weyrlings and their dragons to sit on), he had added a long table against the wall and placed several large buckets of uncut meat in front of the table, several sharp looking knives on the table, and many buckets of oil with rags laid out beside them.
It was easy to see what this lesson was about today, not strong thinking needed to figure it out. He didn't want to trick the new Weyrlings, this was a trying enough time. '
Looking over the table and the items once more, I'zon found himself moving the cushions around, where they were facing the table, spread out with enough room between each that every dragonet could relax comfortably enough and not be bothered by those around him. Finally, nodding to himself that everything seemed right, he moved toward the sleeping quarters of the males, finding that males tending to take longer to wake and stepped inside. "Alright lads!" he shouted, Jareth's answering bugle aiding in waking the sleeping young men. "First Weyrling Lesson begins shortly. I need you all ready and awake, in the Common Room within a few moments. Please don't feed your dragonets and don't oil them, we are going in detail on how to do that today," he stated, walking by and kicking at one of the bunks where the young male hadn't even stirred. Raise your Weyrlings, children. This is an important lesson . . . And there will be food, Jareth aided, knowing that would get the little ones moving.
That being said, he stepped out of the boys sleeping quarters and down the hall to the girls. Now this was trickier, he really didn't want to go into the female sleeping quarters, knowing he was allowed as Weyrling Master, but found that a bit odd. So from the covered archway, he shouted, "Ladies! Weyrling Lesson begins in a few moments. Please have yourselves and your dragonets ready and be in the Weyrling Common Room as soon as possible," he stated. Again, Jareth aided, though this time his aid was much more useful. Pretty ladies, with your dragonets, you are needed int he Common Room shortly. Please be ready and do not feed your hungry dragonets, or oil them, the lesson will cover that today, the Brown dragon crooned. Thank you, Jareth, I'zon sent, moving away from the sleep quarters, back to the Common Room.
Hearing the Weyrling Master's call, along with his dragon's, R'let rolled onto his back, only to find his beautiful Green Garnath looking down at him. Slip me some food, R'letMine, she crooned, oh-so-sweety causing R'let to simply grin and shake his head. You heard the Weyrling Master and his dragon . . . "You aren't suppose to be fed or oiled til the Lesson," he spoke, sitting up, barely missing colliding with Garnath's skull as he did so. Of course, that caused his lovely Green to begin huffing, which caused R'let to turn his head toward her quickly.
Be all you want to be, my dear Garnath, he sent, not wishing to expose his fussy dragonet, But you will not be spoiled, he stated, already his normally kind personality having to change to deal with Garnath's more . . . demanding personality. His mental statement caused his dragonet to sober and she moved toward him once more, head lowering til it was in his lap, demanding to be loved on. I am not spoiled, she stated, eyes swirling with slight anger at being called spoiled. I'm just very hungry, she stated, causing R'let to nod. "Then let me up and we'll get to the lesson sooner. With all these hungry dragonets, I'm sure no one will be late," he stated, already moving.
He was ready within a matter of moments, Garnath watching him the entire time like a predator. She truly was hungry. When he was done, they moved into the Common Room, finding themselves the first. Dipping his head to the Weyrling Master, he quickly took up a cushion, taking one up in the front row.
Having grown up under I'zon's care, Vivi was use to being wakened in such a fashion, that it truly didn't bother her to hear her father's voice so early in the morning. Are you hungry? she questioned her Black, finding that her question kind of annoyed her dragonet. I'm a growing dragonet . . . why wouldn't I be hungry?
Harpeth stated, head barely lifting when she spoke. She truly was a calm dragonet, no matter what was said. Shaking her head, Vivi sat up in a flash and was off her bunk in a matter of moments. "Then I must be getting ready," she stated, already scurrying off to get ready. All the while, Harpeth had finally lifted her head and was watching Vivi run around like a wounded herdbeast. Really, ViviMine. Must you act as such? You are MY Weyrling, MY future Rider. Shouldn't you act accordingly? the dragonet questioned, causing Vivi to stop short as she brushed out her hair. I could . . . but then it wouldn't be me, she stated, grinning bad going back to getting ready. As soon as she was done, she ushered Harpeth out of the sleeping quarters and into the Common Room, where she found her father, and R'let and his Garnath, waiting. "Good morning, Weyrling Master," she stated, having already had a talk about what she would call him while in lesson. Curtsying to him, she moved on to take another seat up in the front row, toward the end, putting two smaller and two larger cushions between herself and R'let, allowing two other Weyrlings and their dragonets to sit between them. There were two rows with the first row having four smaller and four larger cushions and the second having three smaller and four larger cushions, a special seat in the middle of the second row for the female that had Impressed the two Golds. It seemed her father had set up the room to go ahead and focus the young Weyrling's minds on protecting Lokin and her two Gold dragonets.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ** Please pay special attention to all of this post, because the layout of the seating is mentioned in Vivi's post and not I'zon's. I do this simply because as mentioned. The Weyrlings need to learn now that Lokin should be protected, at least until one of her Golds Rise, seeing as D'mar seems to be out for her (tehe, sounds like a 'days of our lives' type of thing)

Lokin, Dianath and Athenath were sleeping when the Weyrling Master contacted them. Well no. Dianath wasn’t. She was being watchful. She had to be. She didn’t want D’mar to get close to them, and get at Lokin again. She didn’t like that. Jareth woke up the other two. And Dianath easily contacted the big brown. Thank you, Brown. We will be out shortly. With that the young woman started to dress, quickly, and easily. Both gold streatched, and with in moments, Lokin opened the door and all three walked out, heading for the common room. The golds had decided to be on either side of her. Athenath on her right, Dianath on her left.
Lokin nodded to I’zon. ”Good Day Weyrling Master.” she said, as she nodded to the green rider, his large green, and the black, and her rider. ”Hello.” she said to the other two. Her fear of Greens was gone. As she smiled a bit at the large green. Athenath watched the large green warily. What would this giant mutation of a dragon do now? Would she DARE attack someone like Athenath, or the larger Black. Athenath was already used to having dragons that would always be bigger than her. Her sister was large, as well as this Black fem. Who was her sister as well. Odd. Her gray eyes flicked from the green to the black, interested, but not worried. The other gold stood still, relaxed, her green eyes watching as well, but not as overtly.
Lokin, and Athena caught sight of the middle cushion, and both moved forward at the same time. The Taller gold followed quickly, even in the indoor lighting Dianath's hide shimmered. Lokin sat down easily, and both golds situaited themselves so that they both could react to anything if need be, with Dianath's tail up towards the front, but her head was arched that way to, and Athenath was facing the front, her tail tickling her sister's feet. Which got a nip from the larger gold. Ladies! Stop it! Your queens now, not impicils snapped the golden haired woman to her dragons. Both quickly calmed down, their eyes on the Weyrling Master. They both were hungry but they had to be better than any of the others, after all. They were the Queens of the clutch.

Mine...Mine..Mine come on it's our first lesson! Please move and wake up! I would hate to be the last one. Please Mina, Mine. The Blue seemed to whine at His that seemed to be sleeping. Mina opened up one eye and sighed slightly before she opened up her other eye. Leaning up in her bed she smiled as she looked at her Blue bonded next to her, Can we go now? Nimnarth seemed to be hopping around moving from one side to the next. Mina shook her head, "My dear, calm yourself. We'll be there in time." Mina told her dragon softly before she stretched then went and got ready.
She then headed into the common room looking around. The room hadn't changed much, but instead of the chairs there were cushions for everyone. Her eyes flickered to the back of the room where she noticed what was on the table, she had a guess what today was to be about. "Come on Nimnarth, let's sit over here." She said gesturing towards the back row on the far right. The Blue hopped right over and planted himself happily as Mina walked slowly there taking in everything. She smiled at the others that were already there before she sat down without saying another word.

Xilen was in the barracks with his brown dragon Rarkth and was resting. His brown dragon Rarkth heard the message then and said, "It is time for class,"[/FFE7BA] while with his teeth pulled the blanket off of Xilen. The young man mumbled, "Stupid dragon," then got up begrudingly and put on clothes then walked with his to the lesson. When he walked there we're a few others already there including the twin golds. His one regret was that his dragon would be unable to go after the golds later yet there was always a black or green dragon out there. The small brown dragon sat down and then Xilen sat down next to him.
He looked around to see the others and smiled a little it was a variety in his lesson. Xilen ran a hand through his hair and regretted not having brushed his hair. The young man deceided to wait till others started to get some food before getting them some. It was a nature after being a drudge for so long that he wasn't the first do anything.

Well, it seemed that all of the first Weyrlings had already arrived, which meant that this second group of Weyrlings would be a couple of sevendays behind the current group. Sighing, I'zon figured that a couple of sevenday differences wouldn't make such a big deal, but he couldn't make that kind of decision without talking with the Weyrlings and the current acting Junior Weyrwoman, as he refused to go to D'mar on this matter. "Alright . . . Well, lets get this started. First off, as you all know, I am your Weyrling Master I'zon and my dragon is the Brown Jareth that flies the skies. I, along with the assistance of the entire Weyr at times, will be teaching you the tools that will make your full fledged Riders.
As it stand right now, there will be more Weyrlings joining your ranks . . . So I guess the only question I have for you, the Senior Weyrlings of this Weyr . . . Do you want to have your lessons separate from the Junior Weyrlings? Or would you like to join classes and have one big session for each lesson?" he asked, not really sure what else to do. Of course, he could just start the basic lesson right off the bat and get these Weyrlings off on the right foot, before the other Weyrlings joined them, but it made things so much easier if they all stayed together.

Lokin and the twins watched the others coming towards them. The twin golds hooted, or growled at each dragon that came in, nothing mean, just a welcome. Lokin felt out of sourts being there, but she’d get through it. Than I’zon spoke. She thought for only a moment. ”All together. It would make it all that much easiser, plus instead of having two groups there’d be one big group, that’s the Storm Cloud Clutch Weyrlings.” she said after only a moment of tought.
The golds nodded in consent, agreeing. Though I’d like my food now instead of in a few weeks or so. she added to the entire room, her sister chortling.

There wasn't much need to add in her opinion, as Vivi would have followed her father in whatever he decided, and when the new Junior Weyrwoman and the White Weyrling spoke up, she could only nod, though she heard Harpeth growl. As long as I don't have to wait til the next lesson to eat, she hissed, causing Vivi to grin.
Hearing the Junior Weyrwoman's advice, along with the White Weyrling's, I'zon nodded his head, seeing his daughter do the same. "Alright then, why don't we go ahead and get things started," he stated, already moving toward the table that he had lain everything out. Picking up the first jar, he held it up to those Weyrlings Gathered. It was about the size of a fruit box, requiring two hands to hold it up for the group. "This is what you will be feeding your dragonets today,"
he stated, setting the box on the floor before the front row. "There are pieces of meat of a herdbeast that were semi-prepared for you this morning before I called you here. Within these boxes, you will find pieces that might be to big for your young dragonet, which means you must cut them up yourselves," he stated, pulling his own personal knife from its sheath at the small of his back and pulled out a rather large piece of meat. "To begin, just cut the meat into small squares. Once your dragonets are bigger, you can just cut them into strips, until the dragonet is large enough to eat and hunt on his/her own," he stated. "Next, we have the oil jars," he stated, picking up a jar and showing it off to the group. "For the first sevenday or two of your dragonet's life, you will have to oil your dragonet several times throughout the day; however, once they grow, you may be able to simply oil them once and be done with it. It is very important to pay close attention to your dragonet's hide. If there are cracks or imperfections in the hide, the end result could be horrible if that dragonet went between. There have been reports of careless Weyrlings that have lost their lifepartner because they didn't take care of them while they were young," he stated, going ahead and giving the bad news before the better. "Though, if you follow my teachings, you will find that you have a growing, healthy dragonet on your hands. When oiling a dragonet, listen to the dragonet. They will tell you which parts need oil the most, which ones can be lightly oiled and which parts need to be reoiled. If your dragonet has an itchy patch of hide, apply generous amounts of oil, with your hands or a rag, either works. Sweetsand can also be used, but seeing as the dragonets are still young, lets just stick with oil. When their older you may start using sweetsand.
"Any questions so far?" he paused in his instructions, giving the chance for questions, hoping that someone would point out something that they didn't understand, instead of waiting until the last moment.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Lokin had no questions. These were things she already knew. Of course it was going to be interesting working with both dragons. They both cooed at her as if they knew she’d figure out a way. The larger hummed softly as the sight of the food, though Athenath’s sharp eyes kept on the larger strips. [colocb8f00]Mine I believe that box there will hold the best of the meat. Though you will have to find enough for the both of us. said the smaller gold. Lokin patted the gold.
She hoped other’s had questions. Because if need be she could help here. She’d been a weyrling once, and so really this was a refresher course. Dianath sighed. I’m hungry. I don’t care about the oiling, when will he let us eat! she asked Lokin with a whine. Shhhh mine. When it’s time you’ll eat. at least one of them acted like a young dragon. Lokin was starting to wonder if Athenath was to smart for her own good.
