It was a rainy spring day, and many of the dragons had stayed in their weyrs. Of course the Hatchlings, and their Weyrlings were a little different, expecially the new Junior Weyrwoman, and her twins. They never left her alone for very long, and one of them was always watching her. But not this time. Lokin was in the dinning hall, looking for something to eat. She was starving. Probably because she hadn’t eaten since early that morning, and it was mid afternoon.
Lokin was in line to get food (They’d had an influx of dragon’s from southern bringing supplies, and they all had wanted to relax a bit in the warm weather of the Western Contient), when she glanced to her right. D’mar. She quickly looked away her eyes on the person before her. There was no panic from her. She was NOT going to panic. A weyrwoman couldn’t afford that. She took her job seriously, and probably always would. She prayed D’mar hadn’t noticed her.
She wasn’t that lucky. She may have been short, but she commanded the attention of other with her harper movements, and her blond hair. She was easily identifiable. He waited until she was seated (She’d tried to get a table wehre EVERYONE could see her, didn’t help), and he sat down next to her. ”Good day, Weyrleader.” she said smoothly, and then turned her attention to her food.
”Why do you act as if I am not important, or that you don’t like me?” he asked right off the bat. She turned sharp green eyes on him, and a growl that came from two different throughts could be heard outside. Galeth had settled himself next to the twins, and was currently trying to chat them up.
”Weyrleader. I am a Jr. Weyrwoman. I have no standing until one of my Queens rise. And I don’t like you. You have put yourself to far forward. Go away. Please.” she asked him calmly. He turned red, and stood up, yanking her to her feet. She turned quickly away, pulling her arm away from him.
”How dare you. You little” he sputtered, before slapping her.

T'lar watched the scene from the corner. The Bluerider's eyes were slightly narrowed. How typical of the Weyrleader to make advancement on the new Weyrwoman of two queens. Anger filled his eyes as D'mar slapped the girl, raising up from his seated position he walked over to the table just as the other girl was seriously yelling at the Weyrleader.
"You know I cannot stand by watching a male hit a lady, and I highly suggest you just leave the dining hall." T'lar said coldly to the Weyrleader expressing no fear of any punishment the Weyrleader could think of.
"Relax, candidate Remi." He said calmly placing his hand on her shoulder knowing the girl was angry. He rather not see anyone get punished as of right now. His eye's locked on to D'mar as he frowned. "It is not right to hit a lady." He said point blank as he looked at the guy sizing him up and down real quick in case this turned into something worse.
Blue Kaith landed near the two Queens already moving to get the Bronze away from the two. Sure enough he was a simple blue, but he could tell the Queens were unhappy of the presence of the Bronze. Good Day, Gold Athenath and Gold Dianath. The blue said speaking to both the young queens in respect.

Entering the Dinning Hall just before D'mar slapped Lokin, Seryven witnessed the Weyrleader pull the young Weyrling up by her arm, then slap her. The chaos that followed found Seryven moving closer to the action, reaching out and pulling Lokin away from the Weyrleader and behind T'lar, Remi, and himself. He didn't speak, there was no need, as the Bluerider had more say than himself, but he wasn't about to stand for the Weyrleader lifting his hand to the young woman. "Are you ok, Junior Weyrwoman Lokin?" he asked, head slightly turned so that he could continue t o watch D'mar, but could see Lokin out of the corner of his eye.
It wasn't long before I'zon entered the Dinning Hall, having truly been on his way to eat, when Jareth had informed him that Galeth was trying to speak with the two Golds again. It could only mean that D'mar was up to something. Yet, when a kitchen drudge came running up to him, saying something about the Weyrleader had slapped the Junior Weyrwoman, I'zon sent for Jareth to join the Blue and the twin Golds.
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?" he shouted, storming into the Dinning Hall, only to find a small wall of bodies was beginning to form around Lokin and all were against D'mar. The Weyrling Master could have sworn he saw red as he rushed across the Hall coming into contact with Seryven first. "Calm yourself, Weyrling Master . . . He is still the Weyrleader . . . " the young Candidate spoke, actually speak sense. "I speak with what little respect I have for you, Weyrleader D'mar, when I say explain yourself? The last time I saw you around this Weyrling, I informed you that you would not be laying another hand on her, as long as she was a Weyrling and in my care," he stated, glaring the Weyrleader down.
Once being called, Jareth landed on the other side of the Gold twins, blocking them between himself and Blue Kaith. Lady Queens . . . For your protection, I bid you stay between myself and Blue Kaith. We will stay beside you until this . . . Bronze he stated, hissing at Galeth, Leaves your sights.

Lokin actually rocked back, stunned. How dare he! The harper woman was indignant, but before she could respond, another girl and T’lar moved to quickly. She cast angry green eyes on the tall gray haired man. He was watching her, and she saw the anger, and fear. He’d known as soon as he’d seen the twin golds, that he wouldn’t be weyrleader much longer… and he wasn’t ready to give up power.
When Lokin had gotten slapped both dragons roared at Galeth, which made him jump slightly (obviously giving room to the smaller blue dragon to get between them an Galeth. You bastard of a dragon! Control you rider! Or I will KILL YOU! roared Dianath, her eyes going from green, with a black iris, to a full on dark blood red. She growled dangerously as the blue got between her and her target. Then suddenly Athenath gave a sharp chirp, and the larger gold was relaxed. Thank you Kaith. the smaller, but more incontrol dragon said, lowering herself.
Lilliana had come in just as I’zon had, being that the runner had grabbed them both. The small woman (same hight as the twenty year old gold rider).”I’zon. Calm. Remi, Thank you. T’lar.” she said simply, using her wits as the Candidate Master to hopefully calm everyone down. She turned to look at Lokin, who’d let Seryven pull her back with a quick ‘quite’ to his question. ”And it’s Lokin. Just lokin.” she told him.
D’mar eyed the weyrling master. ”I am the Weyrleader! Every part of Darkened Weyr is MY domain to watch over and care for! Is it wrong to want to speak with the Junior Weyrwoman? An oddity in a time of oddities?” Lokin growled and slipped past those who were ‘protecting’ her. ”If I had the choice right now. I’d have you banned. But I’m not a full Weyrwoman, my golds aren’t full grown. But If you touch me EVER again, I will GLADLY hurt you, and let Dianath finish it. If you didn’t know she wants to kill your Galeth.” she snapped, her eyes whirling the same color that her bigger twins eyes were. She glared at him. And he at her.
Outside Athenath had her plate full keeping her sister from leaping over the blue and at the Bronze. Then the brown landed. Galeth trumpeted and lifted off. Dianath whinned, then raised up on her back legs and roared, this time breaking a window in the dinning hall, and the Blond was distracted, looking outside at the many colored gold who stood there, her head snaking after the bronze flying off. D’mar could see he wasn’t going to get out of this, and glared at I’zon. ”My Weyr. And I can STRIP you of your place Brown Rider.” He hissed. The words Brown Rider were spat out as if they were dirty. Lokin glared at him. ”Leave. Leave now. Before the other dragons leave Dianath alone. She like many in her clutch it seems, doesn’t care if your human or a bull.” she hissed, suddenly much closer to him. Then she was again behind the other humans, glaring at him. It was then that he decided that it wasn’t worth it, and stomped off. Loves! cried Lokin, suddenly exhausted, though she just stood there.
We are ok mine! We’re ok! Shhhh We’re ok. came Athenath’s voice, soothing, her body now past the big brown and next to the window, her gray eyes watching her rider, agitation making her shiver.

Hearing D'mar's words didn't bother him. Strip of his duties? That would be a laugh, mainly because there were Weyrlings already in the Weyr that needed to be taught. It wouldn't be that easy to find a replacement, unless D'mar had been thinking of such a thing beforehand and already had his replacement set up, just waiting for him to slip. Either way, it mattered little to I'zon. To him, the Weyrleader had long outlived his position and they needed new blood as Weyrleader.
"So . . . Candidate Master Lillianna . . . What do you think we should do about our little problem with the Weyrleader and his . . . fascination with Lokin?"
he questioned, hand on his chin, other hand holding onto his elbow. He turned to look at the Candidate Master, waiting for her advice.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Kaith kept himself between the bronze and Gold Dianith. Calm yourself young Queen, your time will come to remove the leadership of the Bronze and his rider. The Blue spoke mainly to Dianith but it was directed at the other Queen as well. He stretched himself to his full height to be sure the Queen wouldn't hop over him, when the Brown landed he felt much better himself to have a little help. The Blue rumbled a laugh as he watched Bronze Galeth fly away.
T'lar's eyebrow rosed as the whole scene turned into many more people appearing at once. He looked at the Weyrling Master and nodded, "D'mar wouldn't dare to try. No one would be able to take your place." T'lar laughed slightly as D'mar left. "Come on, let's all sit back down and finish this lovely food." The Bluerider commented rubbing his belly, "That just took too much out of me." He added with a slight grin.

Lokin grumbled. She’d already said what SHE thought should happen. Not that it would. But she could hope. She slipped away, and outside, towards the gold dagon, who’d stuck her head through the broken window. She then hugged Athenath. Stupid idiot. she cried in the gold’s mind. The big gold ignored the dragons talking to her Let Dianath deal with them.
I have every right to kill him and His. That stupid human attacked mine! she hissed at the blue, and brown before she then turned away, slipping past the larger dragons and towards the window, shoving her head through the window as well, and breaking part of the wall. Mine! Are you ok? she asked her eyes fading from red to their normal human green. Lokin reasureed her though she was going to have a bruse on her cheekbone.
Lokin glanced at Remi. ”I’ll be fine.” she said before Dianath shoved her head between the two, and dragged her closer. Both baby dragons were bothered, and refused to let anyone get to close to lokin.
Mirrath had landed at this point, and was growling softly as she watched the two Golds. Her rider sighed. ”To tell you the truth I have no idea. He’s right. This is his weyr. Until one of those two rises, we don’t have a choice. We can watch her all we want, but he can slip past us…” she was obviously not happy to say this. ”We could forbid her to go anywhere with out a fellow, candidate, weyrling or Rider. That’s about all we can do.”
