It was twilight, and dinner was over. The seinor weyr woman moved easily through her weyr. The big one. Darkened Weyr. Lokin was used to the weyr now. She was... happy even. She smiled a little as she walked, and finally came to a stop in the comunity area. Not that anyone ever used it at this time. They were busy doing other things.
She sank into one of the smaller couches and just closed her eyes. Why must D’mar keep haunting me? her queen’s both reacted. Because he’s a bastard, that’s why. that was Athenath, obviously. She sighed as she heard the harsh words. The green dress she was wearing was flowing down onto the floor, though she didn’t notice. She was just… tired. SO tired. She’d been working so hard to keep the weyr from falling apart. It had been so close two years ago, and now… Now it was running, but still. She’d been pushing herself for so long, and finally when she thought she might just get a break, this happens.
I agree Athenath. He’s a bastard. I should have killed Galeth when I had the chance. Garnath and I would have done so you know. You should have killed D’mar. Dianath spoke with the feircness of a warrior. She thought of her queens. Athenath had grown, as had her sister. Beside’s her sister the sr queen was… drab. Dianath was a rainbow of golds and beautiful. But athenath had her own beauty. Lokin folded her arms, eyes still closed as she thought of both. Athenath had never caught back up to her twin, and now was a mid sized queen (still pretty damn large), and Dianath was rivaling the queen’s of Benden. Actually she was larger than them. Not that anyone realized that, but she was.
Lokin felt alone as she thought through the message D’mar had sent her. An ultimatum. Everyone in the weyr knew it. It had been announced to all. But still. She felt… trapped. Darkened Weyr wished to be seen by all… but she didn’t know… if it was safe to let any benden dragon fly her queens, or Mizenth! It would mean deaths. She had no doubt. They’d kill anyone who might catch any of the three queens. She thought of V’riy and didn’t like the idea of him not being there. She really didn’t.

She jumped when she heard V’riy’s voice. Her eyes snapped open as she glared at him. She shoved the anger down as she eyed him. Foul mood much? She didn’t speak at first, trying to think through the emotions of herself, and her dragons. Both of which were growling at every other Benden rider at the weyr. Neither queen was happy, and Athenath was close to banishing them all. Only Dianath’s want to keep them around to show them who’s boss kept her twin from doing so.
”You heard. Not much to tell. I have no doubt that D’mar turned me into a evil hag who should be put in her rightful place. Guess that’s what I get for kicking him. Though it was his fault. And Dianath’s” She said softly, blue eyes watching him carefully, worried, but unwilling to admit it. She could figure it out. There was no real choice. Really she just has to ask her girls to at least TRY for one of Darkened Weyr’s own dragons, but in the end, it was up to them. It was a very good thing she and Remi had figured out how to lock out the Weyrleader if need be. It was rude, but they really didn’t want to have to try to rebuild it. Again.
Athenath growled at the voice of Morith. They must stay here. Harm them and We will pay the price. Dianath said obvious anger in her voice. Dammit there was no way out of this! Dianath hissed as a brown got to close. Idiots. I should kill them all. Force them between and not let them leave. That got an alarmed look from her twin. She hissed at her sister, before nipping her neck, hard. It drew a bit of green ichor. But at least the smaller gold wasn’t glaring at THEM now. Dianath could perfectly deal with her twin glaring at her. She was the larger gold after all. Just try it dear twin. I’m bigger than you. Keep yourself, and your mate calm. I and Minzenth will deal with our… suitors. the rainbow gold hissed softly at a bronze, before lifting off from her ledge, catching the eye of nearly every male dragon. No she wasn’t to rise, but everyone was hoping. She winged back towards her weyr, her and her sisters, where she could think.

Well that sounded bad. She took the juice, with a nod, drinking it slowly. ”He’s hurt. His weyrmate dies, leaving him the weyr, alone, with out any help. Then some upstart girls who happen to get the golds come along, and try to take it from him. And their place is in Benden. D’mar has to have good qualitys other wise the Sr. Queen there would not have chosen Galeth. Dragon’s don’t chose wrong.” she had been running this around her head for two years now. Z’law had confirmed it the best he could. And as far as Lokin could tell it was the truth. Ah the wonders of being a Harper. She always could see both sides of an argument.
She watched V’riy’s exchange with the Drudge. She sighed. ”You could be nicer to them. They do happen to do ALL the work that us up and loftly rider’s and the Weyrfolk don’t want to do… which is nearly everything.” she admonished him softly, not really caring if it made him snap at her. It was the truth. She always treated them with respect. They outnumbered everyone. So it was a good idea to be nice to them. She eyed Ryia, who she thought was interesting, but really didn’t care much for beyond as V’riy’s pet.
Athenath growled. They will pay. she was in a foul mood obviously, and it showed through her agitation. She got up and away from Morith after he nuzzled her. She wasn’t a child any more, she didn’t need the coddling to continue. She went to the edge of the bowl and looked down. The sun set as she did so, but she didn’t care, her eyes searching for a beast to kill. There. That one. She jumped down and devoured it, trying to get out her anger on the carcass.
