The small gold firelizard hissed at her bronze son. Poet promptly went between, disapearing. Tarith lowered his nose to touch the queen, who'd started to glow, and she spat at him, angry. She caught site of a mouse and launched herself at it, tairing at it. Z'law looked over and was entranced almost immediately. Feris was getting ready to rise. She was one of the most advanced queens he knew. Her next victim was a fish, for they were out on the beach. She hissed softly, whipping her tail back and forth. Tarith rumbled as he settled down.
Z'law knew this feeling. Feris had risen before. Of course he wondered if she would be caught by anyone in the weyr. Firelizards' lust was as almost as bad as a dragons. He watched her, his dark eyes locked on her small form.
After the third fish (fourth blooding) she launched into the air, her squeeking calling to all males. Poet popped back in, his wings beating hard to catch her. Would others come?
Occ/// OPEN FLIGHT.

Twin heads popped up at the sound of a Queen's call. The firelizards, a blue and a silver, had been sleeping on their dragon, Tyranith, while L'civer was out on Harper business. The dragon raised his head, reacting to his little friends attentivness. He too had heard the call and leaned down to nudge the little males. He wanted them to fly her, yes, even his little blue Songbird.
Ballad, the silver, was first to take to the air, flying out over the Weyr. He was quickly followed by Songbird, and the pair dove down to hunt. They flushed out a large hare and killed it with the ease of pair practice. They settled to quickly blood the beast before taking to they sky again. They popped between, frist the blue, then the silver, and popped back above the beach.
Ballad, with a shrill cry was the first to spot the darling queen. He beat his wings ferosiously to catch up to her, hissing at the bronze that was already in persuit. The blue Songbird held back a bit, flying behind the ranking males, eyes spinning wildly. He loved the thrill of the chase...even if he knew he did not exactly have a chance of winning.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A silvery-blue soon popped in below the Rising Group, his eyes glinting in the bright sun. Blaed had heard the call of the queen and with a quick cheep to Shira had poped between to join the chase. He had blooded only a mouse, but he hoped it would be enough. With a shreek, he beat his glimmering wings to chase the shining queen.
Daemon had been startled by the blue's cheep, causing him to almost drop the bundle of herbs he had collected. He had been out amung the sunning rocks, looking for medicinal herbs to clear up a rash Jade had on her wing. She had woken up creeling at him to help her. She was normally not one to get sick, so he had gotten up with Shira to go and get the herbs he needed. He knew what as happening, so he sent Shira to go and keep Jade company...He really did not want to loose Shira if the Rising gold lizard took offence to her being around. He settled on a rock, ready to watch the flight unfold. Jasper popped in beside him and settled down to watch too. Blaed fly Queen? Funny blue...Another Blue fly her too? The red dragonet asked, his jeweled eyes following the collorful flight. Daemon nodded and just watched, amazed by the audacity of the blues...who desided to fly the queen.

The golden beauty roared as the many flits came to her call. Even blues, and reds. how charming. She flew above them, as she could feel her's and his dragon get ready to get back to the Weyr, though they moved quickly, the man feeling the lust from the many different rising flits. She didn't care though, her anger taking her up into the air. Feris was the queen. The true one. The one that would claim a mate. Let the silly Z'law and Tarith deal with it.
She saw she had a fan fair of flits, and (predictably) dived through them, her movements quick, and solid, as she was now below them, diving through the weyr, then out of it again. Scattering humans, as she went. She trilled as she caught site of one of the huge queens, who just hurumfed at her and disapeared. She trilled, as she rose over her suitors again. Bronzes, browns, blues, silvers and reds had all rose to her call. She was the true queen. Her gold hide only glowed brighter as she shot out over the beach, surrounding her's and his, with flits as she circled them once, then shot streight up. Tarith didn't speak as they walked back to the Weyr, though they didn't get to far inside it, as Z'law stopped to watch the colorful flag of flits, with the single queen leading.
Occ// The weyr has a mouse problem. xD Like... what is that... 15 firelizards, so ... 15 mice, plus the seven that Feris killed. WONDERFUL. xD V'ktor should so get right on that. xD

The silver Ballad whistled at the queen dove between the now large group of lizard males. He snapped at a silvery-blue that flew a bit too close to him as he dove to follow her. The silver was not the most agile in the air, but he followed the queen fairly well.
The little navy blue Songbird followed his silver friend, dipping and diveing, playfully following the shimmering female before him. This was like the biggest game of 'tag' the flit had ever participated in, so he was excited and raring to go, go, GO!
Tyranith watched the colorful flight of lizards from the mouth of the weyr he shared with L'civer. He had sent a message to his Rider, but he had been to busy to reply with anything other than a 'nod' of acknowlagement. The large dragon had sighed and moved to watch the flight commense. His rider was always so busy, being a ranking rider and a Harper was a lot of work...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The silvery-blue Blaed hissed ferociously at the silver who snapped at him as the flight dove to follow the queen. The large critter was irritated at everyone being around. Did every lizard in the whole Weyr have to turn out to fly? He had Shira...but she was his sister and had never Risen... Anyway, the large blue followed the queen through the Weyr and out across the beaches, showing off when the group eased the speed, just a bit. He was not a great flyer like the smaller blues, but he did have some good stamina.
Daemon watched with trepidation as the flight grew to an enormous size. He saw every male color flying the queen. With a flight this big, the queen would have her choice of good males. He felt the lust of his little blue deep within himself, but he pushed it away. He lay a hand on Jasper and just watched at the red just chuckled to himself.

Feris roared again as she dived through the humans, than up. up over the bowl. The flag of colors behind her only pushing her more. She'd chose once the best had started to fall. Blues, reds and browns. Then she'd be left with the best. She screamed, as she dived at the power colors, the sound beautiful and terrifying. She flapped hard as she turned. Oh she had stamina. She always had stamina.
Poet screamed at the other flits as he chasedhis mother, then a thought from the large silver dragon, brought him back to his and his dragon. He settled on the silver's head, watching with interest, suddenly not interested in the queen. Though He watched her with some amusment.
Feris watched the silvers and the bronzes, liking Myth, and Ice, as well as the rest. Though those two stood out. Then Ballad. Hm. She cooed to those three in particular, asking them to tire the rest out, last past them, and catch her. One of thsoe three would win her.

Ballad danced after the queen, trilling a song in his sweet, high voice. His song sung sweetly to her, and the gleaming queen alone. He flitted about, flying with great speed and making loops around the queen as they flew. He was showing off as best he could, knowing that even with the blood fuel he could not keep this up forever. So after a minute or so, he stopped the looping and settled back to flitting and dancing about the queen.
The golden beauty cooed to him, as well as the other silver and bronze. That attension gave the silver a new burst of energy and he resumed his up-beat dance around the shining queen the silver coveted. Ballad continued crooning a sweet melody as he forced his wings to beat eaven faster, trying to pull away from the rest of the group of males. His eyes were on the prize and nothing was going to stop him now. He was determined to outfly every male there and catch the jewel that called him forwards. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The deep blue Songbird was beginning to tire now, and his body had begun to shake with the effort to stay in the air. The small flit tried his best to keep going but one of the other blues, a steely-blue that was very large for his size, shreiked and slashed out at his delicate wing membrains. This broke the little blues control and interest in the flight.
The steel blue was just about spent and the dark navy crfeature below him had been scratching at his temper for some time. This blue was always flitting about the Weyr, trying to play with everything that flew. Blaed had had enough, so the steely-blue had slashed out in anger, determined to take the other blue out of the flight since his stamina was waining.
With a shrill cry the dark blue broke off the chase to smash into the steely blue in mid- air. Despite the dark blue's smaller size, he caused both males to fall several feet. The navy slashed and snapped at the large steely male, using his small size to his advantage. Songbird was able to rip his talons into the other male's wing and the Steely blue Blaed fell with a sheik of pain. With a sharp mental reprimand from his bonded dragon, Songbird popped between to land infront of the tarnished bronze. Tyranith snarled at the little blue before nudging him between his fore-legs. He would tell him off later for hurting another flit, but he had to watch Ballad and the outcome of the flight.
Blaed fell creeling towards the ground, ichor falling from the slashes in his wing. He popped between and fell into the startled Daemon's lap. The healer had not been able to react fast enough to stop the fight before it happened, but now his training kicked in. Craddling the injured Blaed in his arm and holding the herb basket in the other, he said, "Jasper, take us down to my weyr. We have to attend to Blaed and Jade now.". The red dragonet got to his feet and redish blue eyes whirled as he shoved his head under his bonded's hand and popped them between to Daemon's weyr.
OOC: Brought my blues out of the flight with a bang XD

The gold watched the blue's fall out of the race. And the reds. Good. That left her with browns, silvers and bronzes. She screamed as she rose up higher into the bowl, rising fast, and swift. She screamed again, as she circled. Once, twice. There thrise. She was playing now, diving, and twirling. Watching for who would fall next. Myth and Ballad were gaining the most attention, Ice falling behind them. he was good, but just not good enough. She warbled a song, singing to the two of them. Chosing carefully. She wanted a good clutch, and a good mate.
Feris suddenly shot up, her cry's lustfilled. Then with an easy flick of her wings, she was level. Who to chose? Ballad was singing her songs, and dancing, but Myth was following gamely. How could she choose? But she must.
Below, her's Z'law, watched her, his gaze locked on her golden form, his head craned back. he'd gotten back to the weyr, and the silver dragon was sunning beside him, just watching. His dark eyes filled with slight lust. Enough that he could take care of himself if need be. now just to wait for her to chose.

Ballad turned his shimmering head to the brown that had dared to strike out at him. He flicked his tail in anger, but recentered his focus on the queen. His voice still sang sweetly desipe his labored breath. Oh, he still had plenty of energy, but just the chase and lust were messing with his heartbeat. He listened to her song, his voice molding around her melody in sweet harmony. Being a Harper's flit, he had learned to use his vocal ranges quite well and enjoyed harmonizing with just about anything.
Her voice is what called him onwards. He beat his large silver wings and rose on the thermals, twisting diving and looping. He was playing with the queen, showing off his speed and agility, even for a silver of his size. He was doing his very best to outfly the bronze that also was getting some attension from the queen. She crooned to both of them...but only one could win.
With her quick upwards assent, Ballad rose with her, only staying just far enough away that she could get a good look at him. If the bronze moved any closer, he would to. He hovered for a moment and desided to do something he had seen his bonded do make times when he was flirting. He cocked his head and winked a lusty purple eye at the glittering queen before winging over to slowly circle her golden form. His songs did not cease, but they had decreased in volume to a enticing murmur. He wanted her to chose him, so he was going to give her all he had to give.
Tyranith watched the silver Ballad dance and play for the Queen's pleasure. He was definatly a huge show-off, just like his bonded. Songbird lay asleep, cuddled against the bronze's chest. He nosed the little blue lovingly with his nose before raising his great head to the sky once more. The flight had pretty much narrowed down to the bronze and Ballad, with another silver bringing up the rear. It seemed that Ballad and the other bronze held the queen's attension, and he hoped that his bonded's silver would win the shining queen... That would be quite a story for him to tell L'civer when he finished his Harper bussiness.

The gold flit chose. She rose higher. She called to Ballad. With his songs. She loved his songs. She trumpeted her choice, then cooed to him. Catch me love. she seemed to say. Her movements leveling out as she stopped rising into the blue sky. She waited for him now. Her Ballad. her silver Ballad. She cooed to him. Waiting
Occ// Ok this is over. jae, you can post after this. Flits are strong lust wise, but if you don't want to we don't have to do that kind of thing with them. The rider's can take care of it on their own. *grin*

He had won. The glistening silver creeled in triumph and winged up to join the golden glory that had chose him, leaving the defeated bronze and silver to leave. He crooned to her as he carfully put his talons on her. He gently twined necks and tails and carfully sent them into the controlled dive. He crooned his love to her the whole time, his shining Feris. His alone.
"What in the name of Farneth?" L'civer said as he stormed into his weyr, glaring at his dragon. Lust was firmly wedged into him now, and it was searching for some kind of release. He had departed his business early and came back as just being around other people put the normally lax rider on edge. Ballad flew and won the Queen Feris. The bronze said placidly, laughter in his mindvoice. He knew all well, that Feris's was a man...oh, what fun this was... L'civer went to his dragon and collasped against him. "By the shells...Why does this sort of thing happen always when I'm least prepared for it?" The bronze only rumbled and lay his head on L'civer's legs. It's just your luck, Mine. Your great and terrible luck.
