A small woman with a baby boy on her hip came out of on of the side rooms. her long brown hair, and brown eyes making her beautiful. She put the boy down, with a quick smile. "Hello. I'm the Candidate Master Lilliana. You must be Desini. Welcome to Darkened Weyr." she took the papers quickly and read them over. She nodded easily.
"Istan huh? Sounds like our command staff here. Weyrwoman Lokin was an Istan rider once, Weyrleader V'ktor was Istan, and our Technological Master Z'law was Istan up until he transfered." she said with a smile. "Anyways. Come on. Lets find you and yours a room. Don't let them get lost though. It's a big weyr." she smiled as she headed towards the woman's side of the barracks.

The woman chuckled. "They are Ista. Always different. now. Let's see. How's this room? No roomates yet. We've got more boys than girls, But that's usual. For some reason people stick to the old ways. So you are Weyrborn then? Good. We need more dragon riders who actually have an idea of what they are doing." she said as she opened a door, the two year old toddling on behind them. Though he stopped when a cat crossed his path and started to chase it.
Her eyed flicked to him then to the room. "As you know, our Senior queen just rose, so there will be eggs for you to stand at. Soon to. I'm assuming you can pitch in fairly easily? Just an assumption. We do need a bit of help in the kitchens. Warning though. Don't upset our Weyrwoman. She's been a bit... edgy since the rising." the grin showed that she had an idea why, but the woman wouldn't say.

As it was, Jareth set himself down, allowing the three men on his back to slid off before the Brown was back in the air. It seemed that things were beginning to look up, if that was a Searchrider that I'zon had just seen leave the Candidate Barracks before he and the two young men that rode with him arrived. "Hello?"
the Weyrling Master called out, stepping into the Candidate Barracks. It had been some time since he had been this close to the Candidate Barracks, at least some time since Lilliana had started showing less interest in him and more interest in another. "Why don't you two put the packs over there," he stated, pointing over to a corner of the Common Room, out of the way so that no one would trip over them. At the Weyrling Master's order, the two Candidates that had gone with him out to roam the Hatching Sands for left over pieces of shells, begrudgingly moved toward the corner. Each young man had twin, heavy looking sacks thrown over their shoulders. The first young man was Candidate Witortior, son of a Bronzerider and drudge and the result of dragonlust, and two Turns the senior of the second young man. Normally, the young man would have been in better graces with the Weyrling Master, but a broken nose and a black eye seemed to show that something had happened. The second young man who placed his two sacks in the corner was Candidate Shanruk, a Holdbred lad that was two Turns Witortior's junior. There was an air about this young Candidate that seemed to throw him into the fray of having started an altercation between himself and Witortior. It didn't help that a red firelizard took the vacated spot of the sacks. Whereas Witortior seemed to sport more wounds, Shanruk had very little, though it seemed he was favoring one leg and his right hand was holding his left side. As the two young men turned back toward the Weyrling Master, they watched as he called out once more, though neither spoke. "Run on to your barracks and clean up. Your chores are far from over . . . Maybe next time you will think about fighting before the Benden Riders," the Weyrling Master stated, his normal kind and calm personality replaced by this sinister look about him that caused both young men to hurry into the boys side of the barracks before I'zon had even waved them away. With the two boys gone, I'zon's shoulders sagged and he flopped down onto one of the chairs, right hand rubbing at his temples while he sighed a heavy breath.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The woman nodded, watching the Firelizard. THat's what she needed. Or Lilion. One of the two. She grinned a little as she listened. "Good. Glad you can work there. I don't expect to many chorse, unless you've done something stupid, and gotten yourself in trouble. The weyr runs well with what we've got. Small we may be, but we only need to cover a small bit of ground. The west continent is small compaired to the rest. Perfect for anyone who wants to play though. The farthest out is what... six days by runner beast?" she smiled a little as her movements had her out of the room.
She heard the voices. One of the old candidates, one of the new, and I'zon. And if the sounds of the small padding feet were right, the last was going to get 'attacked. She nodded and headed down the hall way but stopped just in the door.
Lilion had chased the cat as far as the door, then stopped. Daddy! He gave a mischevious grin, and with all the quietness of a two year old (Not much) 'sneaked' up on his father and tried to 'attack' his knee. Which was much higher than him, but the boy didn't care. He was giggling histarically.

Feeling something thud against his knee, I'zon slowly pulled his hand away from his temples and slowly began lifting the leg that had been attached. As he opened brown orbs, he found himself looking at a young boy that was seemingly sitting on his riding boot, legs and arms wrapped around his leg with a glint in his eyes that could have passed for something the Brownrider, himself, would have thrown. Why didn't you warn me that Lilliana and Lilion were here, Jareth? the Brownrider sent, even as he leaned down and pulled his son's arms and legs from around his leg with practiced patience and set the young boy in his lap. I don't need to warn you that your offspring and mate are within a short distance of you, the Brown mentioned from his perch on their weyr. I think the title 'mate' can stopped being used when referring to Lilly, Jareth . . . She hasn't come to us for anything since she's found interest in another, I'zon sent with almost a defeated tone.
Granted, yes, I'zon may have lost his mate to another, and yes, he may not have put up much of a fight to keep the Greenrider by his side, but there had been Weyrlings about. She had had Candidates to train. But when news had reached him that she had given birth to his son, he had done all he could to stay in the child's life. So far, he did well, with all the work being put on Lilly due to more Candidates than Weyrlings. It was an off time for him, as far as actually Weyrlings. Now, he just ghosted the Weyr and helped out with drills with the younger Riders.
"Have you been driving your mother and her Mirrath to hide in the Candidate Barracks again, Lilion?"
he questioned the little boy affectionately. True, I'zon already had a daughter through another Rising, Vivi of Black Harpeth, and he was proud of his daughter as she was currently the Wingleader of the Black Wing at Darkened Weyr. However, there was just something about actually having a little boy. A little boy that had both his mother and his father in him, to the point where it hurt to watch Lilion play sometimes because I'zon saw so much of his mother in him. Sighing, he tousled the little boy's hair and looked up to find Lilliana standing in the doorway to the common room. Sighing once more, he motioned toward the boys barracks and shook his head. "I caught Candidates Witortior and Shanruk fighting in front of a small group of the Benden Riders. When I questioned them about why they were fighting, neither one would answer me. So in punishment, I had them clean the remaining broken shells from the Hatching Sands. . . . Forgive me if I overstepped my bounds, Candidate Master Lilliana," he stated. Honestly, he would have risen, but he really didn't want Lilion to move. He wanted just a few more moments with his son.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ** Please forgive the power play with Lilion. I got a little attached to the little one.

Lilly watched I'zon. Though she'd never say it, she did love him, as she loved Calian, and neither had actually gotten anything from her. She felt for them both, about equal. So how could she chose? So she tried to be friends with both. Mirrath had refused to rise the last few times the Dragonlust had tried to take her, more for her rider's sake than anything else. With the pregnancy, and the child, Mirrath didn't want to disturb that.
Of course if Lilliana knew that I'zon thought of her as his mate, she'd have a problem. She'd never actually shown affection outside of the Flight, and the same for Calian, they were... just friends. And she'd do something about them if she knew what she wanted. Which she didn't. She sighed when he called her Candidate Master. Joy. Lets be formal. Well two can play that game. Mirrath's grumble in her mind didn't stop her as she stepped farther into the common area. "It's a good idea Weyrling Master. After all, soon they will be yours To deal with." her voice was neutral again, though there could be an edge in it, or there couldn't be. The little brown haired boy giggled at his mom then hid his face in his dad's chest. Flirting, sort of. More like Peek a Boo, as he looked at her again and did the same thing.
-------
Tiaris was bored, and she wandered through the halls. A half open door caught her attention and she poked her head in it. A girl was crying on her bed. "Hey. Don't cry. I'm Tiaris. Though call me Tia." she just walked in. Tia was like that. A force of nature, with no barriers. She hadn't ever needed them... until now. She shoved her anger back, hard. Forcing herself to breath, adn watching the girl. "You must miss your family. I missed mine. But there's so many dragons here."

The neutral tone in Lilly's voice put I'zon on edge. This wasn't right, there shouldn't be this tone in the Greenrider's voice. She always seemed cherry, more so now that she had Lilion. Slowly, trying not to upset the little one, I'zon rose to his feet, setting his son in his arms and his little legs on either side of his ribs. With all the grace that came with dancing around the younglings of the Weyr, he moved toward the Candidate Master in quick steps. "Are you alright, Lilly?"
he questioned, his tone light but his eyes hard. He was searching the Greenrider's face, trying to find out what had caused the change, but had a good idea what was bothering her. Slowly, he turned his son away from his mother, leaning his face slightly closer to the Greenrider, cheeks almost touching. "If you need any help . . . you know Jareth and I would do anything for you," he whispered, lightly kissing her cheek. It wasn't anything more than a friendly gesture, something that would have seemed almost innocent, if it wasn't for the lump that formed in his chest as the mother of his son seemed to be pushing him away for the favor of another.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

The short woman watched I'zon pick up their son, and come towards her, obviously worried. "I"m fine, I'zon." she took a step back when he got to close. It seemed people liked getting in her personal space. WHY did they have to? Tiaris had just tried to hug her a few hours ago, and she just didn't want to deal with it.
"It's nothing I'zon. I mean that." She slipped away from the kiss on the cheek quickly. That was to personal. She couldn't be that personal. With anyone. Well anyone but Lilion, who was now reaching for her. She sighed, moving close again to take her son from his father. The little boy looked between the two of them, and giggled softly, before shoving his face in her hair, and hiding. She forgot that I'zon was there, as she looked down at her son, with his legs around her rib cage, sitting on her hip, hiding his face in her hair. She smiled down at him, and just for a moment forgot about everything.
---------
The young woman nodded as she watched the younger girl. She looked at the shirt, and touched it. "Was he cute?" the grin was one of mischive, though she didn't do anything about it. She leaned back a bit, looking around. Her own silver firelizard flitting to her shoulder through the door, and ignoring the other silver. She laughed at the girl's words.
'Your doin' better than me. I'm one who grew up in a Cothold. The Weyr was way different. Though it was comforting to know I'm not the only fishergirl here. Our Junior Weyrwoman's a Fishergirl. There's plenty here who grew up in the weyr, and Master Lilliana's son is one of those weyrbred." she smiled a bit. She was friendly... just... scared. She watched the girl before her with some amusment. "We'll be your family, you know. Us candidates, and the dragon riders. Don't think we won't. And don't forget your two friends there. They are your family. Family is where the heart is.. or is that the home. Hm... I dun remember."

((I apologize. My Muse kind of died.)
Seeing her take a step away from him, anything to be away from him, I'zon raked his now free hands through his hair, before turning his gaze on Lilly and their son. There was no way to stop the smile that started to form as he watched Lilly with Lilion. She didn't even really see him anymore, just their son, which . . . Mine . . . I believe it is time for you and I to take our leave,
Jareth crooned from the entrance of the Candidate Barracks. His snout was placed just at the entrance, blocking the light and casting them in a shadow with only a crescent sliver of light above them. Please give my regards to Mirrath's, the Brown sent, pulling his snout from the archway and flooding the room with light once more. That hit home. Since Lilly had chosen to find another, Jareth had pulled away from Mirrath, though he still would answer any call the Green sent his way. The Brown had also stopped speaking directly to the Greenrider, which only made I'zon realize even more that their story had ended. Sighing, he leaned in close and kissed his son on the forehead, before pulling back and not going for his mother's forehead. "Seems my dragon knows when it is best to leave before I have even realized it," he stated, ruffling Lilion's hair. "You be good little one, listen to your momma. If you need me for anything, you can always send up a call, I may not be able to hear it, but Jareth will," he stated, beaming at his son. Before he turned away, he couldn't stop himself from looking at Lilly. Jareth's sends his regards," he stated, not really sure what else to say to the Greenrider. Glancing around, he noticed Witortior coming back out of the male side of the Candidate Barracks. His nose was bleeding again and he was limping a bit. "Seems men just don't learn . . . Take care of them. I don't want either or them banned from the Sands cause Lokin or V'ktor got wind of their little scuffles," he stated, turning from Lilly and his son and making his way out of the Barracks.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Tiaris
Tia smiled at the description. "Sounds... Dreamy. No wonder you miss him. Though there's some fine boys here to. Just... they are idiots." she said with a laugh, her voice clear. There was a reason boys liked Tia, she was pretty. She was a brat to, but she didn't really care about that.
Tia nodded. "We'll ask them. I know a few. Z'law, Lokin, V'ktor, not sure of any other's, but that's pretty much most of the command staff here. not including Lilliana, I'zon, Remi, and X'lan. One of them will reconize your mother, though i bet the best bet is Z'law. he was there a long time." said the tall woman with a nod to the younger girl. She was more relaxed as her blue popped in above their head, got hissed at by Sparti, and settled on her other shoulder. She caught site of a red streak before he was inside the room, wiggling and licking her hands. "Hello Jarvis. Des, My dog Jarvis, Jarvis, Des, be nice to her."
------------
Lilliana
Mirrath moved in her weyr, sticking her head out and glancing down at the brown. She hadn't been distressed by the fact that he wasn't really talking to her, but she wasn't fully pleased either. She hurmfed softly, watching him, as he stuck his head in the door of the candidate barracks. Not willing to speak with me? Why does what my rider think have anything to do with what I think hm? her eyes were a plasid blue, but there might of been red flecks, even mirrath wasn't to sure. She spoke to Jareth carefully, though there was familiarity. The big green hadn't risen in the last two years, though by all rights she should have. Greens rose more than any gold. Not that it mattered.
Lilliana looked up as he spoke, worry in her brown eyes. But he kept talking, to Lilion, who reached for the big hand, but missed as his father pulled it away. The boy bobbed his head worriedly. Looking at his mother. The small woman frowned as he spoke. She knew she was going to have to make a choice. And now. But which one?
The choice was easy as the little boy in her arms kept his blue eyes locked on his daddy. "I'zon wait..." she said as she glanced at the candidate coming out of the barracks. "You are... wanted." she said, not phrasing it right, or even to figure out what she had to say, just that it needed to be said. She wondered if Lokin would have done it better, or L'civer. Probably not.

Tia laughed. "Depends on the boy. But yes. Most are." she said with a bit to much relish. Her twin would probably have poked her by then. Though he wasn't around. he was somewhere else. She smiled at the girl next to her.
She nodded. "Well, it's not good to piss off a pregnant woman. That's probably what she was talking about. The Sr. Weyrwoman is expecting, and she's not fully rational. But i wouldn't worry to much. She doesn't deal with us very often. She's got bigger fish to fry." she said with a huge grin.
She looked at the dog for a minute. "My dad gave him to me. My brother has his sister. He gave us them as puppies before we were searched." she said simply, petting her dog as he slobbered on Desi. Which made her laugh.

Tia nodded. "I bet someone will know her. We seem to have a basis of Ista here." she said with a nod. Hey she was confident. At least that was a good thing. She leaned back a bit as she watched her dog.
"Thanks. Jarvis was a present from my papa. He was glad me and my twin were searched. Aparently he was saving the pups for the next day, but Jarvis' sister is even worse than him on the begging. Isn't she Jar?" she asked as the dog soaked up the wonderfulness that was soft hands petting him.
