A fortnight after Dullarth's Rise, right at the beginning of Fall.
His little Tsarina rested curled up on his knee, while he, himself, was pressed back against a rock, watching as Jelmanth went after the herdbeast in the Feeding Pins like a deamon. Just blood them, my sweet . . . It'll give you strength for your Rise, he offered, watching with lust filling eyes. The deep, forest green dragon was speckled with blood as she went after her fourth beast and S'ven clamped down on their link when she went after the fifth one. "Enough Jelmanth,"
S'ven stated, forcing himself to take a breath before speaking and one after. Her mind was so foggy. His sweet, mothering Jelmanth was about to start her maiden Rise. Taking another deep breath, S'ven felt his fists ball in the loose dirt and grass that he sat on. He had taken up this position as soon as Jelmanth had come to the Feeding Pins. And as soon as she took to the sky, he would return to his weyr, where he was sure whoever dragon went after his Green would join him. It was odd to think about, his sweet Green blooding, while soon someone's dragon would be claiming his Green while he himself would find himself in someone's arms. Another deep breath and Tsarina nipped at his knee, bring him back from his thoughts. Jelmanth suddenly went ridged and she looked up to the sky. I want to FLY! she suddenly bugled, actually leaping into the air and pumping her wings til she was airborne. With his Green in the sky, S'ven slowly began to stand and watched from the ground as she circled the Bowl once before letting out an ear splitting roar. It had begun, but he couldn't move, didn't want to move from the spot as he watched Jelmanth circle in wait for her suitors.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

X'lan had been working with Roland, checking him over, he was almost ready to get out of his cast, but not aloud to pick big things up, when Jelmanth rose. Carenath was out of his weyr in a flash and blooding. The silver wanted to rise now. Before he'd risen out of duty. But this silver wasn't into queens, he wanted something a little better. This wasn't his first rise, but hell he'd have fun! He dove onto a bull and blooded it, drinking quickly, as X'lan excused himself. The silver roared as he blooded to more than launched himself into the sky after the beautiful green queen.
His wings carried him fast, but he wasn't willing to outrace everyone. He cooed to her though. He'd been watching her the last few days, and he wanted her. He roared softly, turning it into a trumpet as he followed her. Silver's were notorious for being able to follow a greens every move and have the stamina for much more. He didn't sing to her, but broadcasted to her his devotion, and lust, and possible love. Dearest green star, fly, fly long and far. Show the world that green can out shine the gold! he cooed as he got behind her, taking every inch of her into his brain and making sure it was stored. He'd always watched everyone from a distance.
Down below, X'lan found himself drawn to the pens, and there was S'ven. His fellow Clutch mate. he smiled at the boy, his grin sly. He was already deeply enthralled with his dragon, easily being pulled into the bond. But he'd never felt lust like this. he'd wait, he stayed back a bit. "Hello S'ven." it was odd to hear his voice that husky. He was usually quite proper (and he currently looked it in his healers robes).

Finally! Jelmanth boomed, seeing and hearing Silver Carenath rushing up to meet her in the sky. The Green had been slightly worried that no one would show, though the missing factor of more males to her Rise didn't even phase her. She was only interested truly in one mate. The less she had to worry over picking the better off she found herself. Plus, she knew a little of the large Silver that made his didn't so much sing to her, as broadcast to her, but she had found herself smitten with him for some time. I will take only one mate in my lifetime . . . Do you fancy yourself that male, Carenath? Or will you find my devotion and my Rider's to much for you and Yours? she boomed. As she hovered in the sky, seemingly looking down upon the Silver, judging him either worthy or not, it seemed that the normally loving and motherly Green was nowhere to be found. Show me that you are, sweet one,
she sent, before flaring open her wings and catching a thermal draft up and to the right. With that, she flipped mid-air and was off, heading out, away from the Weyr. One moment, everything had been quiet, minus Jelmanth's booming for her Rise, and then a Silver had joined the Rise and all of a sudden, Jelmanth was roaring and bugling, her voice booming throughout the Weyr. It was more than enough to find S'ven with his hands over his ears, and a pained look on his face. Yet, a strong, husky voice seemed to whisper to him and S'ven opened eyes he hadn't realized he had closed and found a man that he had seen on the Sands the day he had Impressed Jelmanth. "X'lan . . . What are you doing her-" he couldn't even finish the question. Jelmant had spoken to X'lan's Silver Carenath and shock filtered over S'ven's face. X'lan's Silver was going to fly Jelmanth? With no challenger's it wouldn't be hard to see who won. His nostrils flared as the dragonlust rolling off his Green flowed through him. Slowly, he removed his hands from his ears and straightened his back. He was already a little bit away from the rock that he had been leaning against when Jelmanth had blooded before her Rise. Standing next to the feeding pens, he felt kind of silly, but Jelmanth would have none of that. As he glanced up, he found the sky was empty, which could only mean that Jelmanth was leading Carenath away. It wasn't really good, namely cause any who tried to join the Rise now would have a long way to go before they would catch up with his Green. He couldn't stop the grin that broke out over his face. "Looks like Jelmanth doesn't want any other males one uping your Silver," he stated, before slowly backing away. If his dragon wanted her suitors to work for her, then so would their Riders work for him. "Come on then," he whispered, lust pooling in his eyes before he turned and took off running as fast as his long legs could carry him. His destination: his private weyr ledge.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Carenath slowed a bit as she spoke. "Try me." his answer was simple. She'd take one mate, but there was a possibility that he'd rise at least as a symbol in each queen rise. Mainly out of trust, and devotion. He loved his sisters. Though he wouldn't dare rise for Athenath. He did not need to deal with bronzes. He hummed as he chased after her. He'd be loyal to her though. Token rises, and as always he'd drop out quickly.
He growled as she lead him away from the Weyr. "Unfair Advantage, my lovely green star." he cooed to her, continuing to sing to her, broadcasting. He didn't bugle or roar, he was silent.
X'lan gave him a roguish grin. The hansom man was a little to into the rise. It was his fault really, but he didn't care. He nodded. "Hm. Seems so. Though it gives mine an advantage." he said softly, his voice husky. He could feel that Carenath was willing to dedicate. X'lan? Well rider's didn't have to be attatched. He was streight, at least he was reasonably sure of it. When S'ven took off running, X'lan took a short cut, heading up the side stairs to get to the weyrs. "AH ah. I do know the weyr very well." he said grabbing the other mans hand.

((Seeing as no one but Carenath answered Jelmanth's call, I am just going to go ahead and say the Silver won her maiden Rise. Congrats Flame))
