Dragonrider
[/font][/size]General Information
[/blockquote][/blockquote]Character name: R'bir
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Between 5'8 and 5'10, depending on how tired he is from patrolling, R'bir is a rather striking figure. Thickly muscled, but not overly so, with wide shoulders and a thin waist. Strong arms tend to lift heavy packs while thick legs carry him where Wrath cannot. The black hair that sits atop his head seems to never want to be tamed and his dark brown orbs are just the same. Within this young body is the soul of a wanderer, just with ties to certain places.
Personality: Overall, R'bir is a very quiet, young man. Impressing Wrath young has caused him to a lose a large chunk of the fun-loving and care-free youth that he had been at Fort Hold. However, he doesn't miss that part of his life for anything. Wrath has given him so much, it would be a waste to return to something that he barely remembers anymore. Now, he stands ready, always willing for the next adventure that his Red will take him on and ready for the problems that may or may not arise at having a temperamental Red at such a young Weyr.
However, there is one thing that can never be taken away from him and that his is heart. He is a kind youth, no matter how aggressive Wrath is. He is always willing to listen, though it may have to be at a distance, as Wrath can be a bit possessive. Add in the fact that he is bisexual, with more interest in the same gender rather than the opposite.
History: Before R'bir Impressed Wrath, he was a Beastcrafter's son. He lived a simple life, at Fort Hold, never once dreaming of anything past maybe becoming like his father; Master of his Craft. However, that all changed when he was fourteen Turns and he was Searched by a handsome Bluerider that had come to the Hold. Once he was taken to Fort Weyr, he seemed to have made a friend in the Searchrider. After he Stood and didn't Impress at his first clutch, R'bir was free to pursue the Bluerider and he did. Within a fortnight, he was sneaking out of the Candidate Barracks to share the Bluerider's bed.
However, his next Turn proved interesting, has another clutch was on the Sands. Standing at this one, R'bir had little hope of Impressing, more he still had eyes for only the Bluerider and would have done anything for T'nak. Halfway through the Hatching, with his eyes on T'nak in the Stands, he missed a blood Red dragon hatching and hissing at the Stands, as if he felt a threat from someone there. It was the hiss that tore R'bir's gaze from T'nak. In the few moments of his first witness of the Red, R'bir could have sworn, and still does to this day, that the Red looked right at him, glanced over and up at T'nak, then back to him. The Red seemed to shake his head, as if unhappy about the lover pair, then made a beeline right for R'bir. It was a horrible sight, as the Red's path was blocked by a pretty little Green and two Browns. The Green perished on the Sands before she could find Hers, along with one of the Browns, while the other was horribly wounded.
You will never share his bed again . . . I won't allow it! the Red had roared within R'bir's head, slamming into him and pinning him to the hot sands and scoring both shoulders. You will have eyes for only your Wrath . . . And only ME! the Red had bugled, for all to hear, before completely shutting his mind to all but R'bir. The Senior Weyrwoman had told him some time afterward, that even her Senior Gold couldn't get through to the young Red.
After Impressing Wrath, R'bir found that T'nak feared him. His once passionate and kind lover now looked at him with great fear and rushed from his presence without even so much as a word. Yet, there was no hatred toward Wrath. No, instead, R'bir loved his Red even more, for showing him no fickle his lover could have been. The Red informed him that if the Bluerider had pushed to stay with him, he would not have harmed neither dragon nor Rider. When the pair passed their Lessons and graduated to full fledge Rider and flight-ready dragon, R'bir found he had another problem to deal with. Female Risings.
The first dragon to Rise, shortly after they graduated Weyrling Lessons, was an older Green, who's female Rider had befriended R'bir and even Wrath. The Flight had started out ok, with little more than the all the males taking to the sky after her and all the Riders joining her at her weyr. Yet, it quickly proved to much for the young Redpair, as R'bir watched his Red go after the Green with single minded fury. When the Green was about to make her choice, Wrath had found himself the loser and something had snapped in the young Red. It took all of R'bir's mental links and strength to pull the Red out of his own bloodlust. The Red had gone between, many believing for good, while R'bir had crumpled to the floor of the Greenrider's weyr. A sevenday later, he awoke and Wrath returned to the Weyr.
Another sevenday later, and R'bir put in a request for patrol routes, putting as much distance between his dragon and the Weyr as often as possible. Soon, the two found that they enjoyed the distance and neither truly missed joining in the Flights. It was only recently, with the news of Benden Weyr Riders moving in on Darkened Weyr was he transferred to Darkened Weyr, to add an . . . aid to Senior Weyrwoman Lokin and her twin Golds, curtsy of the Fort Weyrwoman and Weyrleader.
Goals: Get through yet another Turn with no bloodshed
Pets: Name: Misery
Age: 1 month
Personality: Misery may have a disheartening name, something that R'bir thought fit her just fine. However, the Redrider has quickly learned that he might have named her wrong. With her bright hide, uncanny ability to make Wrath love her, and the strange way that she has somehow wormed her way into his heart, it seems that this little girl has brightened up the Redrider's world, maybe even his Red's.
Description: This little female silver is a real pretty little thing. She is very small, almost the size of a green, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in spunk. Her flashy almost silvery-white hide catches light and reflects it, often making her a shimmering object bouncing off the walls. Besides the small stature and pretty hide, she has wings that fit her body and a graceful look about her. She is slim, but fast, more than capable of giving any male a run for his money when it comes her time to Rise.
Sexuality: Bisexual - but leans more toward the lads
Face Claim: Ranbir Kapoor
Dragonrider Information
[/blockquote][/blockquote]Dragon name: Wrath
Dragon color: Red - 660000
Dragon description: Wrath is a dark, blood red that almost looks like the famous Benden wine. There is no markings on his hide, save for a few scars along his chest and back from Threadscore. He is big for a Red, almost 24 meters. Correctly proportioned, he is a striking dragon, the envy of Reds, he believes himself, though he has never even tried to pass on his breeding to offspring, thinking all the past females unworthy of him. Though it really is the simple fact that both he and His fears that he would kill the female during her Flight if she even flicked her tail wrong.
Dragon personality: Wrath is dually named, as he both lives up to his name and will exact his namesake on all those who dare stand against His. Aggressive, violent, brave, foolish at times, and a bit naive when it comes to some things, this Red almost seems like a raving maniac whenever he believes himself insulted or upsetted. It really doesn't take much to upset this Red, a simple step out of the bounds he believes have been set down before him and he's liable to snap at all who cross him . . . even His if the poor man stands up against him. However, he is still very young, so there is lots of room to grow and calm down. It only takes one brave soul to stand up and have this dragon as a close friend.
There really isn't a good side to this dragon. He is dangerous, but loyal. His Weyr is his home and his family, though he treats those that had considers family very strangely. More often than not, R'bir and Wrath stay out on patrolling routes, rarely staying at the Weyr for more than a fortnight. He doesn't tolerate firelizards or dragonets, to the point where he can be rude, pushy, or just down right snappy. Most of the time, he ignores the poor little things.
