It was a calm winter's day. The snow was on it's way, but it was a few days out. The day had a fairytale feel to it. The chill was up, and there was a breeze, so it was cold enough for cloaks, but the sun still shone down on the only full Weyr on pern. Darkened Weyr, and Darkened Mountain were flooded with the beauty that was the sun in full shine. Below at the edge of the valley stood a proud city, not to big, but big enough. The house of the Lord of the city was the brightest spot with copper as the roof. The city was built to look beautiful, and be a place of commerce. Farther out from the beautiful city was the fields, farms, and forests that made up the Western Continent. Off in the distance mountains could be seen. Beautiful, and proud, they were younger than the mountain that Dark City is situated under. A bit of smoke could be seen on the right side of the ridge. It had always been that way.
At the edge of the bowl, watching all of this with two golden dragons bracketing her, stood a young woman, bairly old enough to be condisered a woman. Her blond hair fell down her back, mingling with the velvet of her cloak. The black cloak was thick, thick enough to keep the chill away. The two golds sat regally on either side of her. One was a rainbow, and she cast golden rainbows when ever she moved. The other was simpler, but just as striking. The smallest gold at Darkened Weyr, Amirath was built more like a green, and didn't have the kind of stamina her larger, more colorful sister had. Lillith was built like a bronze, and had the stamina to match her build. The pair were compleatly different, and yet once unified they were a force to be reconed with. Add in their Harper rider, and they were unstoppable.
Mine? I believe a storm is on it's way. The smaller gold turned her gray eyes on her rider beside her. Lokin turned her gaze from the dragons coming into the bowl, and the city below, to the senior queen of the Weyr. "What makes you said that m'love?" she asked her dragon coyly. The small gold snorted, shaking her head. The young queen turned her head to the distant bank of clouds.
Urielth has said that his dragons have found the edge of the storm. It will keep us indoors. the elegant queen said, her arrogance filtering down the bond. Lokin chuckled, reaching out and touching the queen. There was no speach for a while, as the three continued to stand there, watching. I believe the storm will be fun. Maybe I'll ask Sadrith and With to play tag in it. Lillith cooed at the thought and started to wiggle a bit, her tail thrashing, falling off the edge that led into the Weyr. Lokin turned blue eyes on her larger dragon. "And if they say no?" the great gold just gave her a look that said 'They Wouldn't Dare.' Lokin chuckled. With was the twin's bronze brother, and Sadrith Amirath's mate. She doubted they'd be willing to chase the great gold. I'll ask Morith then! Or maybe I'll make Urielth come back and play. I love snow! You do to, oh small one. teased the larger gold, her nose coming around and nudging her rider enough to make her fall into Amirath.
You will do no such thing my dear. And yes I do like snow, but I don't have time for it any more. came the sharp voice of her rider. Lillith snorted and turned her head to look over the land again. Her green eyes were searching for something, though what no one would ever be able to tell.
